Please read these Reservation Terms & Conditions carefully before completing a hotel booking on begintravel.com. By confirming a reservation you agree to be bound by these terms in addition to any applicable supplier (hotel) terms.
1. Our Role as Intermediary
begintravel (operated by Sindibad Turizm Ticaret Anonim Şirketi) acts exclusively as an intermediary travel agent. We search and book accommodation on your behalf through contracted wholesale and agency suppliers. The hotel (or its operator) is the party that actually provides the accommodation service. We are not the accommodation provider and do not operate or manage any hotel listed on this website. Accordingly, the hotel's own terms and conditions, house rules, and check-in policies also apply to your stay and supplement these terms.
2. Accuracy of Guest Names
You must enter guest names exactly as they appear on the government-issued identification document (passport or national ID card) that will be presented at check-in. Hotels are entitled to deny check-in if the name on the booking voucher does not match the guest's ID. Name corrections after a booking is confirmed may not always be possible; if a correction is required, please contact us immediately at support@begintravel.com and we will make best efforts to assist, subject to supplier approval. Any re-booking or amendment fees charged by the supplier will be passed on to you.
3. Prices and Currency
All prices displayed on the website are in USD and are inclusive of our intermediary service markup and all applicable taxes and fees unless otherwise stated on a specific rate. Prices are dynamic and may change between the time of your search and the time you complete checkout. The price shown on the final order summary page immediately before payment is the binding price for your booking. You will not be charged more than the amount confirmed on that page, except for charges payable directly to the hotel at the property (e.g. city tax, resort fees, incidental deposits).
4. Payment Authorisation and Capture
When you click "Confirm & Pay" your card is immediately authorised for the total booking amount through Stripe. The authorised amount is held on your card but not yet debited. The charge is captured (debited) once we receive confirmation from the accommodation supplier that your room is available and reserved. If the supplier cannot confirm the booking, the authorisation is released in full with no charge to your card; release timelines depend on your card-issuing bank (typically 3–7 business days).
5. Booking Confirmation and Voucher
A booking is confirmed only when you receive a booking voucher or confirmation document from us by e-mail. This document contains your booking reference number, hotel name and address, room type, check-in and check-out dates, and the lead guest name. You must present this document (printed or digital) at the hotel reception upon arrival. If you do not receive a confirmation e-mail within 24 hours of payment, please check your spam folder and then contact us at support@begintravel.com.
6. Check-in and Check-out
Standard check-in and check-out times are set by each hotel and are shown where available on the hotel detail page. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to the hotel's availability and may incur additional charges payable directly to the hotel. Rooms are typically available from 14:00 on the arrival date and must be vacated by 12:00 on the departure date, unless otherwise confirmed in writing.
7. Special Requests
You may submit special requests (e.g. high floor, sea view, cot, dietary requirements) during checkout. We will pass these requests to the hotel but cannot guarantee that they will be fulfilled. Special requests do not form part of the binding contract and are subject to availability at the hotel's discretion.
8. No-Show
If you fail to check in on the arrival date without prior cancellation, the booking will be treated as a no-show. No-shows are generally non-refundable regardless of the rate's cancellation policy, as the room has been held at cost from the supplier. The applicable penalty is set by the hotel or supplier and is disclosed in the rate terms before booking.
9. Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellations are governed by the policy attached to each rate and are set out in full in our Cancellation & Refund Policy. Please review that policy before booking.
10. Supplier Terms
By completing a booking you acknowledge that the hotel or its operator may have their own terms and conditions, house rules (e.g. quiet hours, pet policies, smoking restrictions), and check-in requirements (e.g. minimum guest age, credit card required as damage guarantee). These supplier terms supplement and do not replace these Reservation Terms. We recommend requesting a copy of the hotel's terms directly from the property if required.
11. Force Majeure
Neither we nor our accommodation suppliers shall be liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, acts of government, war, civil unrest, strikes, or infrastructure failure. In such circumstances we will endeavour to assist you in modifying or cancelling your booking in line with the relevant supplier's policies, but we cannot guarantee any specific outcome.
12. Limitation of Liability
As an intermediary, our liability is limited to the correct transmission of your booking to the supplier and the proper delivery of your confirmation. We are not liable for the quality of accommodation, acts or omissions of the hotel, personal injury, loss of enjoyment, or any consequential or indirect losses arising from your stay. Our total liability to you in connection with any booking shall not exceed the amount you paid us for that booking. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (including liability for fraudulent misrepresentation or death/personal injury caused by negligence).
13. Modifications
Post-booking modifications (date changes, room upgrades, additional guests) are subject to supplier availability and may result in a price difference or amendment fee. Please contact us at support@begintravel.com as soon as possible if you need to amend your booking. We cannot guarantee that any modification request will be accepted.
14. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of İstanbul courts or the relevant consumer arbitration/court bodies as set out in the Distance Sales Agreement.
